How to Order a Repeat Prescription
Unfortunately we are unable to take prescription requests over the telephone.
Please allow 48 hours (2 working days), excluding weekends and bank holidays for us to process your repeat prescription. Eg, if you order Sunday, the prescription will not be processed till the Monday so will not be ready for collection until Wednesday after 5pm. Please note, if the item you are ordering is not a repeat, it may take longer as this has to be reviewed by a clinician.
Repeat Prescription Requests
If you require prescriptions for regular and continuing treatment, it is not always necessary to see the doctor each time. These items will be made available for you by your Doctor and are known as repeat items. They can be ordered upto 7 days in advance, unless a reason is specified why you need your medication early (the exception is : any controlled drug)
How To Order Online
The digital options at the links above are the safest and quickest way to contact us, for both patients and the practice. If you are unable to access our digital options, please drop in a paper prescription request at any of our sites.
Medication Reviews
We are constantly reviewing and updating our prescribing in line with local and national guidelines, as a result you may notice that when you collect your repeat prescription your medication has been altered. Please be assured that the alternative will have evidence based efficacy and safety whilst being more cost effective to the NHS.
These switches are being made by all local practices and is a joint approach to maximise the NHS budget within which we have to operate.
If you have any queries regarding your medication, please discuss this with your local pharmacist, or please contact the practice so that one of our pharmacists can make themselves available to speak to you.
