We are making some changes to how we work, we are trying to support the Clinicians and make the service safer for all our patients
As you may know GP surgeries throughout the country are struggling to recruit new GP’s, Morecambe (especially) has struggled for many years and more recently we have had some of our GP’s retire or move away from the area.
The result of this is some of our sites have a much reduced team of GP’s; we have therefore taken the decision to move some of the GP’s who work in our West End surgery to other sites. We have done this so that the GP’s may better support each other on site and share experiences to develop robust care for our patients.
We plan to focus our attention at our West End Surgery on our Urgent Care Service; this will mean Dr Fraser and Dr Chase will continue to work at West End Surgery and will support the Urgent Care Team.
We wish to assure all our patients, that they may continue to see the GP of their choice and that the GP’S who have moved will continue to hold the same patient lists.
In this demanding climate, the Practice feel that our GP’s need to be able to support each other through personally sharing experiences and knowledge with their colleagues within their own sites.
We hope you will support your GP during these challenging times, we continue to make changes where we feel we can improve our service to our patients.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during these difficult times.
